Scottish Thistle Silver Plate Condiment Set.

1900 - 1920
Description

This charming Scottish condiment set which is made of silver plate is made by Gilmour & Watson of Glasgow and dates from c1900.

This set has a beautiful thistle design with the mustard pot, pepper pot and salt pot being in the form of thistle heads which are set upon a leaf. The mustard pot retains it's original glass liner, the salt pot has a hinged lid and the pepper pot has a screw on top.

This condiment set also comes with it's two original thistle headed spoons which is unusual being so complete so would make a great piece for a collector.

Material: Silver plate.

Date: c1900.

Maker: Gilmour & Watson, Glasgow.

Marked: Maker's mark for Gilmour & Watson.

Dimensions: Width: 9 cm (3 1/2"). Depth: 10 cm (4"). Height: 11.5 cm (4 1/2").

Weight: 228 g.

Condition: Very good antique condition with some signs of use in keeping with age. A little nibbling to the top edge of the glass liner. Please see pictures.
