An Extremely Rare Cork Silver Butter Knife

An extremely rare item of Irish Provincial silver. This is a handsome butter knife in fiddle pattern. To the top is the engraved armorial of a bird. Marked only, 'Sterling' to the reverse, he particular shape of the surrounding cartouche indicates that it dates from the early 1800's and would have been made by one of three Maker's. A wonderful and desirable collector's item, with a practical use. Dimensions below.
