French porcelain box and cover, with silver mounts, c. 1900. The cover painted in Vienna style, with a mythological scene of Venus handing an arrow to Cupid; all on a light blue ground.

Both the cover and the base, mounted in silver scroll work.

Inscribed ‘Argent’ to the base.

Medium: Porcelain and silver

Height: 5.5 cm, 2 1/8”.

Width: 13 cm, 5 1/8”.

Depth: 9.5 cm, 3 3/4”.

Condition: Excellent. No damage. No restoration.
