Johnson of Liverpool Georgian 18k Gold Pocket Watch

Description

A very fine quality gents 18K gold pocket watch by noted maker Johnson of Liverpool. A gold dial with beautifully made tri coloured gold accents. A finely made outer case with chased decorations to the edges. A well engraved detached lever fusee keywound mechanism with a diamond endstone signed by maker 'Johnson Liverpool'. Case inner marked 18 K gold and ISW. A finely made gold key with bloodstone to the gold chain.

Joseph Johnson of Liverpool is recorded as working from 1814-1851. This example dates to circa 1825.
