Stunning Edwardian Silver and Bristol Blue Overlay Bohemian Glass Scent Bottle by Charles May, Birmingham 1909

Description

This elegant silver and Bohemian overlay glass cologne bottle was made by the renowned Charles May and is dated Birmingham 1909. Of baluster form, the Bristol blue glass body sliced-cut to clear glass in geometric patterns. The fully hallmarked embossed silver lid fitted on a silver neck. Complete with glass stopper.

The base star cut.

Hallmarks:

CM for Charles May.

Birmingham Assay mark.

Lion passant.

Date letter "k" for 1909.

Dimensions:

Height: 12cm / 4.4 inches.

Maximum diameter: 7cm / 3 inches.

Condition:

Very good.

No holes to the lid.

Glass body in very good condition.

Inner glass neck in perfect condition.

Glass stopper in perfect condition.
