Rare Locking Double Wine Bottle Caddy by Hukin & Heath C.1900

1900 - 1920
Sold by Puckerings
Description

A wonderful Antique English Electroplated double bottle stand, rarely seen and of course what makes this particularly special is it being made by the famous Hukin & Heath.

The bottles are kept in place with the two silver collars which wrap around the bottle necks and when the handle is pushed down the lock snaps shut. The lock comes with a working tasselled key to release the lock, the central column pops up allowing the bottle to be slid out, the top section also swivels while unlocked to aide in this.

The underside is marked with the H & H mark within two circles together with the pattern number 653 and "Patent Applied For".

Excellent condition measuring 11 1/2" tall to top of handle and each holder with a diameter of 3 3/4".

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.
