Antique Late Victorian Mahogany Library Bookcase on Cupboard C1890

Antique Late Victorian Mahogany Library Bookcase on Cupboard and dating from around 1890. Constructed from quality mahogany it has a moulded cornice top with reeded frieze and with carved harebell leaves to each corner. This is above nine fully adjustable original shelves all with reeded and moulded dust flaps. Each action with reeded supports. The base is moulded to the top with a central open section with carved frieze and over a two moulded panelled doors . This is flanked on either side by a moulded panelled door. Internally and to one side there is a single drawer above two shelves and to te other side there is a single shelf over a cellarette drawer. The top removes from the base for ease of transporting.

MEASURES: 72” HIGH X 30” HIGH TO BASE X 18.5” DEEP X 78” WIDE & INTERNAL DEPTH TOP 8.5”

With a lovely deep colour and patination and oozing all the charm and character of the period. Our furniture is cleaned and polished using traditional waxing methods.
