Description

An eminently wearable Victorian silver bracelet formed of double curb-chain links, some of them embellished with a decorative pattern of swirls. The links are hollow, as was the norm for this type of bracelet in the period. The piece has echoes of the traditional Victorian "night and day" bracelet, which could be worn with the plain side out during the day and the fancy chased design on the other side on show for night-time engagements.

Size: 20cm long (just short of 8 inches) and 1.5cm wide.

There are no obvious marks or stamps but the silver acid tests as sterling.

Condition: There are a few minor cosmetic dents and tiny holes on the underside commensurate with age but on the wrist the bracelet looks perfect. It is a nice sturdy piece with a lovely concealed clasp which clicks shut securely.
