Description

A Victorian silver mounted heart shape with clear hallmarks for Birmingham 1898. A makers mark is present but small - it may be L & Co. The silver heart shape lid is embossed with scrolls around the edge and in the centre with a group of five cherubs, also known as Reynolds’ Angels. The lid is gilt lined, and fits the crystal base perfectly. The cut lead crystal box is heart shaped, hobnail cut with a vertical cut panel at the back (probably due to the indent in the heart shape) and has a star cut base. Very pretty, Victorian, and in perfect condition.
