Description

A good quality pair of mid 19thC French ormolu gilt metal curtain tie backs c1860. The ornate design is typical with two moulded ornate shields at the front and back of the tie back. Each has a good strong bar at the back for attachment to the wall. They are a numbered pair, both stamped 380 on the attachment bar. Parts of the ormolu are still highly polished particularly the egg shape centres of the shields, catching the light. Very elegant items, in excellent condition.
