Art Deco Clock

1920 - 1940
Description

A French Art Deco clock with a pair of matching garnitures. Made from various contrasting marbles, with a brass bezel and brass effect clock face. Excellent black Art Deco numerals and hands. Marked to the clock face, ‘J Chabirand’ and ‘Ancenis’. The clock strikes each hour and half the hour.

On the top of the clock, a sitting dog with a girl bending attentively towards it, trailing her pierrot clown behind her.

Each garniture in marble and blackened metal, ideal for pillar candles. The marble in very good condition. The clock has recently been cleaned and serviced by a professional horologist.
