Description

An exquisite late 19thC French ormolu wall hanging photo or picture frame c1880. The round frame edge bears a delicate raised harebell pattern. At each side and base of the frame are affixed three delicate ormolu ribbon garlands. The frame is mounted by an ornate and exquisite hanging pendant of a large ribbon above floral garlands. The glass is slightly convex to enlarge the framed image. The lining is damask. The back is solid brass and there is a hook for hanging behind the top ribbon. This frame has beautiful quality and is in fabulous condition. No damage and very little signs of wear for its age.
