Sabino glass was made in Paris and founded by Ernest Sabino (1878-1961) and noted for its opalescent glass. He followed his father by training as a sculptor, which can often be seen in his glass designs. After the First World War he recognised the importance of lighting products due to the emerging electric lighting industry. His pieces are either marked Sabino France for export or Sabino Paris for the French market.
In 1939 he handed the business to his nephew Grupox-Sabino. The company was sold in 1978 to America.
