Lovely quality golden mahogany 'chevret' table, or ladies writing desk. The removable book carrier, inlaid with boxwood and kingwood, with carrying handle over two short and one ormolu mounted long drawer fitted with brass knobs. The lower section with a tulipwood crossbanded top over a single drawer fitted with lifting leather writing surface, pen tray and ink compartments. Raised on square tapered inlaid legs. A charming piece.
