Charles II Elm & Oak Gateleg Country Dining Table

A Charles II period, elm and oak gateleg dining table, Circa 1660 to 1690. With well figured elm oval shaped top, drop leaves to either side, supported by a single gateleg. Drawers with turned knob handles to both ends of the frieze. Substructure of oak ring turned and block supports, with oblong stretchers on short splayed feet.
 
A very charming period country table, with original top and base, and all original handmade butterfly hinges. Old brackets added to the edges of the top, which appear to be C18th. Good over all colour, polish and patina. Ready for use.

This table measures approximately 69 cm (27'') tall, 142.5 cm (56'') wide leaves up, and 49 cm (19.5'') wide leaves down, 116 cm (45.5'') deep.
