A very good example of a post medieval bronze thimble....this type is known as a ''beehive'' thimble, because of the shape and has punchwork decoration....similar examples have been found on monastic sites and grand houses, where a lot of needlework and sewing are done....in excellent condition with a fine colour and patina.
