Description

An attractive pair of 19th century antique elm Clisset type farmhouse occasional chairs. The pair of farmhouse chairs both have decorative turned spindle backrests and solid elm seats. The chairs are raised on four straight cylindrical legs with a decorative turned front stretcher.

CONDITION REPORT:

In antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks, scratches and staining to the seats (pictured). The chairs show evidence of old historic woodworm - this is long gone and has been fully treated as a precaution. Due to the construction of these chairs, the joints do have some movement. We do not recommend these chairs for daily use and suggest they be used occasionally or as more decorative pieces.
