Description

A Regency Stobwasser papier mache snuff box with a hand painted lady on the cover. She is 'Blandina' and this is inscribed inside the lid with a rather faint 'Stobwasser' inscribed on the inside base together with number 1270. The box has some age related wear but is generally in good condition.. The other round papier mache snuff box has a gentleman in a large black hat painted on the lid and inside it is inscribed with G Moss Canterbury 1828. The box was originally gilded inside. This also has some age related wear. The Stobwasser box measures 9.5cm x 7cm. The other box is 11cm in diameter. The price of £245.00 is for the pair.
