A George III Old Sheffield Plate wine coaster, the straight sides with a reeded edge to the top over a band of bright cutting, with bright cut and pieced navettes at intervals to the sides and with a vacant navette shaped cartouche on a stepped rim, and with a turned mahogany base within, English circa 1780.
Condition: Overall very good, the piece has a small amount of copper showing through as would be expected with a piece this age. The silver has a lovely ‘blue’ undertone and a rich warm patina, and the mahogany base is in superb original condition.
