George III Mahogany French Hepplewhite Armchair Circa 1780

Description

Fine George III mahogany french Hepplewhite arm chair of very generous proportions with shaped back, scrolling arms with pads and raised on slender carved cabriole moulded legs. Beautifully carved in centre of back top and front rail. Shaped seat. All in original condition but with couple of old repairs. Really needs re-upholstering. Lovely deep rich colour with fine waxed patina. A great example.

Size; 36" high, 26" wide, 22" deep.
