Description
Fine small Scottish Georgian mahogany and boxwood inlaid longcase clock with painted dial and 8 day striking movement by John Adamson of Anthruther (Fife). Lovely boxwood fretted decoration to hood. The case all in fine condition but has replacement feet. Fine figured veneers to door and base. The movement has just been fully overhauled and is in perfect working order. Lovely rich colour to case with fine waxed patina. Comes with all keys. Size; only 79" high, 18" wide at hood, 9" deep. Approx. delivery cost in mainland U.K. £80 Dealer in hand picked Georgian and earlier furniture, ceramics, metalware and silver. Also stocked 19th. Scottish paintings and oriental rugs.
