Description

A superb antique William IV period writing table in mahogany. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1830-40’s period.

It is of amazing quality, with fantastic bold carving around the legs. The handles are also carved in the typical William IV manner, the drawers are beautifully constructed with fine, hand cut dovetailed joints. This sits on original brass casters and has a polished back, so can be used as a free standing item. The inset leather top is hand coloured and gold tooled, with a gorgeous patina.

We have recently had this re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age. There are various small marks and indentations beneath the polish here and there, commensurate for age.
