Antique English Georgian Blue and White Transfer "Parrot Border" Childs Chamber Pot ~ Tomb of the Emperor Shah Jehan

Of Indian interest ~ A rare Early 19th Century Antique English Georgian Blue and White Transfer Pottery Childs Chamber Pot, the moulded rim displaying the "Parrot" border. The exterior depicting the "Tomb of the Emperor Shah Jehan", { Sack 5-1A, 5-1B and 5-2A }, more commonly known as the Taj Mahal. The interior depicting the "Mosque & c. nr. Benares", { Sack 5-4 }. The underside of the base bearing in script the title, "Tomb of the Emperor Shah Jehan", this within a floral cartouche. From the Parrot Border series, the maker of which so far remains unidentified, although John and William Ridgway, c. 1814 - 1830 have  on good authority been suggested, the source print for this scene was taken from Charles Ramus Forrest's "A Picturesque Tour along the Rivers Ganges and Jumna in India", published in 1824 by Rudolph Ackermann of London.
