Geo V Pair Silver Candlestick S Sheffield 1921

1900 - 1920
Description

A pair of George V era silver candlesticks with clear hallmarks on both candlesticks for Sheffield 1921 and makers mark for Thomas BRADBURY & Sons. The candlestick design is based on a Corinthian colum with a stepped gadrooned square base, the gadrooning being repeated under the sconces. Each barrel shaped column is adorned with three curling foliage shapes, possibly ferns, around the base. The sconces are integral and have finely stepped rims. The condition is very good with a little denting on sconce rims, consistent with age.
