Antique Furniture Direct has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
Each chair has a balloon back, the top rail elegantly carved with acanthus leaf and the back cross stretcher scroll carved, they stand on splayed back legs and have beautifully turned front legs. They have been newly recovered over the existing horsehair upholstery which is in good condition. The mahogany has aged to a rich shade with a striking grain and good patina.

Solid and sturdy and newly reupholstered. Good original patina. Newly recovered over the existing horsehair upholstery which is in good condition. General wear and marks commensurate with age. Some old worm holes to the underneath of the seat rails. One chair has a split to the upright of the back splat which is solid.
