This ENGLISH GEORGIAN BLUE & WHITE POTTERY PLATE is decorated with a transfer print of 'FRIGATE II', from the Shipping Series, within a border of SHELLS and SEAWEED.

The Overall design is recognised as one of the best available on STAFFORDSHIRE BLUE & WHITE TRANSFER PRINTED POTTERY. The Pattern is illustrated in Coysh & Henrywood's Blue & White Printed Pottery 1780-1880 Volume 1 Page 336. The Maker is unknown.

The Plate is in good condition with no cracks, chips or restoration.

Diameter: 8.75 inches (22 cm)
