Description

An unusual antique Victorian mahogany chest of drawers. The antique mahogany chest has a rectangular shaped top with a cushion moulded drawer below. Under this sits a drop down drawer front that reveals four small pull out slides. Below this are three full width fitted drawers, each with decorative brass handles. The chest is raised on short bun feet and has decorative carved corbels to the side pillars.

CONDITION REPORT:

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks, scratches and staining to the top, front, and sides (pictured). The mahogany chest of drawers remains structurally solid and sound. There are some minor losses to the veneer in places. The drop down drawer and pull out slides are probably later additions/alterations. Of good proportions.
