Webberley Antiques has dated this piece to the 1700s.
The original hand made mirror plate with a shallow bevelled edge and wonderful feint grey/gold hue.
The walnut frame with ogee shaped border and a rich deep wonderful colour. Original back boards, some very minor repairs/restorations to the frame consistent with age and use.
Of tall elegant proportions, heavy and robust and very striking indeed, this is a rare survivor of 320 years or more and a very atmospheric and beautiful antique mirror.
