Description

A superb antique Carlton House desk in mahogany. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1900-1920 period.

This is of amazing quality, it is very well built and heavy. There are five generous drawers in the lower section, with ten smaller drawers and two lift up compartments in the upper section. The inset tooled leather writing surface slides out to increase the work space. This has beautifully curved sides, sits on tapered legs with spade feet, and is nicely polished on the back, so can be used as a free standing item.

There are original brass handles with lovely details, the drawers are all solid oak lined with fine, hand cut dovetailed joints.

We have recently had this re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age.
