A 19th Century Set of Eight Dining Chairs, Including 2 Carvers

Description

A particularly good set of EIGHT late 19th century Hepplewhite 'Camel-Back' style solid mahogany dining chairs in fine condition. The set is made up of six open dining chairs and two carver chairs (with arms).

Constructed of excellent quality timber, each chair features a moulded frame and pierced 'splat' back, whilst the overstuffed seats are supported on reeded tapering legs which are united by 'H' frame stretchers. Each chair has been recently recovered in an attractive heavy gold and cream damask fabric with gold 'gimp' surround.

Dimensions: height: 37.5 ins   width: 20 ins   depth : 21 ins. (95 x 51 x 53.5 cms)
