Description

Late 19th.c. gilded overmantle mirror c.1890. Original 25" x 32" mirror plate within a moulded wooden frame with gilded finish, rounded top corners and incised zig-zag decoration. Obvious spots of tarnish to the mirror plate (which could be replaced if preferred), some wear and retouching to the gilding which is rubbed through in places to reveal the red ground below.
