Early 20th Century Oriental Carved Camphor Wood and Maple Chest

Description

A decorative early 20th century oriental freestanding camphor wood chest with inset maple panels beautifully and deeply carved to all the sides and top with scenes of pagodas, trees and people dressed in traditional clothing within a cherry blossom border standing on stepped bracket feet. The chest retains its original embossed brass back plate and latch and comes with a lock and key. The interior of the chest has a lovely camphor wood aroma and a removable tray.
