A good late Regency Mahogany bracket clock with elegant gilt brass inlays and mounts. The arched top case is surmounted by a pineapple finial on a cushion base. The case stands on four brass ball feet and has a brass carrying handle to each side.The white/cream coloured painted convex dial is signed by the maker, ­Robert Molyneux, London, and set in a cast brass bezel. The original blued steel hands are quite unique and have a quatrefoil design at the tip. The dial also has a very useful Strike - Silent feature above the 12. To the sides are sound frets, Fishscale in design with silk backing to let the sound of the bell out. The high quality 8-day double fusee movement strikes the hours on a bell and has pull repeat.
