Antique Edwardian Inlaid Mahogany Open Bookcase

1900 - 1920
Description

An excellent antique Edwardian Sheraton Revival breakfront open bookcase in mahogany. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1890-1910 period.

It is of amazing quality, is very well built and is a great size. The mahogany has a lovely, rich colour tone, beautiful grain patterns and nice inlaid border around the top edges. There is lots of useful storage space with adjustable shelves in all three open compartments.

We have recently had this re-polished, it is in great condition for its age. There various signs of minor historical wear under the polish here and there, adding to the patina and charm.

Depth – 15 inches , 38 cm
