Antique George V Sterling Silver & Glass Claret Jug - 1913

An antique George V sterling silver claret jug which has a tall glass body with attractive hobnail cutting, a plain silver mount with a hinged lid, a simple thumb piece and a good pouring spout. The nicely shaped handle is particularly appealing with pretty patterned detailing and completes the overall design of this claret jug. It would make a useful addition to a collection and would be practical to use at the table. It would hold a litre of wine.

Diameter of base: 10.3 cms (4.1'')
 
It was hallmarked in Sheffield for 1913 by Martin Hall & Co. and remains in excellent condition.
