This is an antique hotel post box. An English, mahogany telegram or ballot case, dating to the Victorian period, circa 1900.

Attractive post box with great colour and figuring

Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order

Select stocks show fine grain interest and rich caramel hues

Original glass pane in good order with beaded edge

Raised postage slot to lid with gently chamfered frame

Inset brass lined lock to front — key absent

This is an appealing antique hotel post box, ideal for dropping off keys, or delivering mail. As useful today as it was over 100 years ago. Delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
