Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Blush ivory porcelain refers to a distinct body and glaze style developed by the Royal Worcester Porcelain Company in the late nineteenth century. It features a matt off-white glaze with soft pink and apricot shading, usually accented with hand-painted botanical decoration and gilding.

These vessels were crafted from porcelain, moulded with decorative relief details, and fired. Artisans applied delicate layers of tinted glazes to create the characteristic graduated colouration, followed by hand-enamelled floral motifs and liquid gold highlights before a final firing.

Authentic pieces feature printed factory marks on the underside, typically incorporating a standard crown and circle emblem along with specific date codes or dots indicating the exact year of manufacture between the late Victorian period and early twentieth century.

A pedestal urn works well as a focal accent on a mantlepiece, sideboard, or within a glass display cabinet. Placing the piece against neutral backdrops or alongside dark timber surfaces highlights the soft tones and gilded accents.

Clean the surface gently using a soft, dry lint-free cloth or a dry soft-bristled brush to clear dust from raised reliefs and piercings. Avoid immersion in water, detergent solutions, or abrasive materials, as these can wear away the gilded details and surface enamelling.
