Masons Antiques has dated this piece to the 1860s.
Dating from C1855 and made by J. POLLARD of CANTERBURY this clock features all of the best features of it's type.
To the lower half of the case is a glazed aperture through which the pendulum can be seen in operation. There is also brass inlay to add to it's appeal. The "ears" to this clock are particularly nice being hand carved oak leaves and acorns.

The 12" white painted dial has black Roman numerals and is signed with the makers name. It has a heavy, cast brass bezel and nicely shaped hands.
The 8 day, fusee movement has just been fully overhauled by our BHI registered staff and carries our usual 12mths full parts and labour guarantee.
A quality clock throughout.
