Victorian Silver Christening Mug

1900 - 1920
Description

An interesting Victorian silver christening mug with a maidens lozenge to the front. The bow at the top of the lozenge indicates this.

The inscription around the top of the mug reads “To Kathleen Penson Plunkett from her godfather Charles Hunter of Plas Coch Anglesey.

I understand that Plas Coch is a country house on Anglesey.

Charles Hughes-Hunter was the first Baronet, a title that became extinct in 1951.

Very good quality mug London 1900 by William Hutton & Sons.

The decoration is in good order it it a good clean piece.
