Description

A good example of a Georgian mahogany Demi-Lune tea table dating from the late 18th / early 19th Century. It has good quality chamfered tapering legs and a pretty inlaid border around the apron. Both rear legs swing out to support the fold-over top.

It is in good condition for its age and displays well with a nice rich colour. The interior of the table is flat and has a lovely grain. There are signs of age and use, some light surface marks and a small repair by one of the hinges but nothing detrimental. There are signs of some historic worm on one of the supporting arms which has all been treated as a precaution and hasn't affected the piece structurally or aesthetically and the table is strong and sturdy. It has been cleaned and gently polished and is ready for use.
