Very decorative English 19th century burr walnut and marquetry centre table or dining table with an ebonised moulded edge and supported by a pedestal base, circa 1880.
Wonderful colour and grain to the burr walnut and the floral marquetry running the way around the table top is lovely. Some aged restoration to the very central marquetry and also you will have noticed there is an old wound running the width of the table. Both of which are very stable and not unusual to find on burr walnut tables of this period, also in my opinion they don’t detract from the table with it being around 140 years old!
The table will make an ideal large hall centre table, but is of a size that will seat 6 for dinner.
The table top does come off the pedestal base, so it is very easy to move and deliver.
