Description

Superb Central European small marriage cupboard. First class build quality and painting, from Great Mountain area of Bohemia.

This one is excellent condition. The blue background is characteristic of this style of folk painting, it is said to derive from the patterns that poplar leaves makes when seen through shimmering sunlight.

The panels on these cupboards are decorated by master painters who were inspired by the wild flora around them.
