Description

P0191 Fine 19th century hand carved mirror in Rococo style, having original bevelled edge glass with some speckle in finely carved frame. The frame is carved with ‘les pearls’ which symbolises strand of pearls and leaf motifs throughout. This mirror has red oxidation showing through the beautiful water gilding and patina that is original to the piece. It's adorned with an elaborately carved pierced crest with richly carved floral garlands draping on each side and scrolled crest at the base.

This antique mirror retains its original bevelled edge glass with some foxing original gilt with some ‘touching up’ over the years, red oxidation showing through and its original backboards. All in home ready condition. C1870
