Description

This lovely little Art Nouveau Arts and Crafts brooch is a rarely found item; the bar brooch, with typical Art Nouveau heart-shaped leaves curling around bezel-set jade cabochons, suspends a large lantern charm on a chain. The hand-hammered silver of the lantern is also very typical of the period, drawing attention to the craftsman's handiwork.

The piece is in very good antique condition with a sturdy C clasp. We have lightly cleaned but not overly polished as once that amazing patina built up over decades has been lost it's impossible to get back!

Size: Approx 8cm total drop; the brooch section is 4cm wide and the lantern measures around 1.8 x 2.3cm.
