A beautiful rare large Indian solid sterling silver offering or serving spoon. It is marked P ORR and Sons Madras for Peter Orr and dates to c1880-1900. It has been beautifully hand made having a finely engraved bowl, cast handle, and terminal in the form of Marasimma. It is in perfect condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs. It measures approx. 8.25 inches (21cms) long by almost 2 inches wide and weighs 65 grams. A beautifully made rare piece.
