Webberley Antiques has dated this piece to the 1750s.
The single board mahogany top over gun-barrel column with ring turned top and base set on splayed tripod cabriole legs with exaggerated slipper feet, each leg with a scroll folding back from below the hock which is carved in the solid in the manner of Thomas Chippendale.

With old professional restorations and two chips to the underside edge of the table as shown in our photographs from one chip there is old hairline crack about four inches long which is stable, old and not going anywhere.

A very rare and beautiful table of lovely proportion, sturdy, robust and level.
