Antique Waltham half hunter high grade pocket watch, 1919.

The watch has a good quality 17-jewel stem-winding movement which is working nicely. This the 625 grade movement which has Church 1892 patent regulator, gold jewel chatons and Breguet hairspring for enhanced precision. The movement is fully signed and the serial number 22,636,471 dates it back to 1919.

The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is the gold plated Sun model from the Dennison Watch Case Company, an English case manufacturer who supplied Waltham UK. The case is in lovely condition. The front cover has a small central lens surrounded by dark blue enamel filled Roman numerals.

The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover.

Inside, the glass lens is in lovely condition.

The signed dial is in lovely condition, just a short faint hairline by number 5 but difficult to see with the naked eye. Blued steel hands including the special half hunter hour hand so that the time can be read when the front cover is closed.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
