A beautiful heavy silver collar necklace formed of chunky intersecting chevrons. Made by the well regarded Mexican silversmith Enrique Ledesma, known for his high quality designs. He started his own workshop in 1950 after years spent working for Auguilar, Spratling and Los Castillo in Taxco. He died in 1979.
Marked LEDESMA SILVER STERLING TAXCO 117.
Snaps shut nicely with a tongue and box clasp.
The necklace is in very good vintage condition, with normal surface wear to the silver. We have lightly cleaned but not overly polished as once that amazing patina built up over decades has been lost it''s impossible to get it back!
At the time of listing we have a matching bracelet (see final photo) which is for sale separately.
Length: Approx 15.5 inches.
Size: Approx 1.5cm wide.
Weight: 97.2g.
