Antique English Sterling Silver Lidded Crystal Inkwell - London 1890

Description

A beautiful piece of sharp cut crystal was used to create this stunning and highly decorative inkwell. The top is made from sterling silver with an exquisite repousse decorated top around the hole used to access the ink with a traditional dip pen.

The side of the silver lid is hallmarked for London 1890, making this a true Victorian example; the makers mark EB is also present for the silversmith Edward Brown.

Excellent condition without damage, measuring 2" wide x 1 1/2" deep x 1 7/8" tall.
