Gents 1940s Cyma Watersport Wrist Watch

Description

Gents 1940s Cyma Watersport wrist watch.

The watch has a Swiss 15-jewel hand-winding movement, signed Cyma, which is working nicely. There are a couple of empty holes within the movement, these are for retaining screws. However, the screws are not required in this instance because the movement is designed to be held in position by the inner protective cover.

The watch measures 32mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is stainless steel and it is in very nice condition. The case back is signed with the Cyma name. Despite the Watersport name, the watch should be kept away from water and moisture.

The lens is in lovely condition.

The signed dial is in its original finish with original hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers. There is light marking across the dial.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
